Starting a public research journal

This is the journal: a place where I write and share directly with whoever is reading. It is intentionally broadcast-only — there's no comment thread here. The papers and notes are where discussion happens; this is where I simply say things.

Why keep it separate

• Papers and notes are for work that invites scrutiny — so they carry discussion.
• The journal is for writing I want to share, not debate: progress updates, short essays, decisions, things I've changed my mind about.

Only I publish here. Everything below the surface — the authoring, the editing, the deciding what to say — stays with me; the audience reads.

What to expect

Short and frequent more often than long and polished. Some entries will graduate into a proper note or paper; most won't, and that's the point — a journal is allowed to be a journal.
